Reopening Policy after Covid-19 Lockdown
The following criteria will apply:
Clients will be welcome onto the carpark, outside the indoor school and in the stable the horse you are riding is in. The following areas will be strictly off limits to clients – all tack rooms, feed room, feed shed, viewing gallery and reception. This is to safe guard staff, volunteers and livery owners.
We will be able to offer private lessons, and small groups sessions.
We can only accept bookings from competent riders who are able to ride unaided. Riders will be encouraged to mount and make adjustments to stirrups and girths themselves. Therefore we will not be booking any lead rein sessions at this time.
We will only take bookings from clients who are from households who have been observing strict social distancing, are non-symptomatic and who have observed all government requirements during lockdown.
Our 24 hour cancellation policy for lessons will still be adhered to, unless you or a member of your household develop Covid-19 symptoms where your lesson charge will be waived. However no bookings will be taken from you or a member of your household for the 14 day isolation period as set out by government guidelines.
All riders must wear their own hats, whips and PPE including clean gloves and must make use of the sanitising facilities upon arrival. No equipment will be available for hire/borrowing.
All lessons must be paid for at the time of booking by either card or BACS. Initially all bookings must be made by contacting Becky on 07966294799, reception is currently unmanned.
We are currently only offering 1/2 hour and 3/4 hour private lessons or 1/2 hour or 3/4 hour semi private lessons for people from the same household.
Only one spectator per lesson will be permitted, and only for riders under 14 years of age.
There will be no more than two horses at any one time using the indoor school space. During lessons normal school rules will apply. In instances of passing left to left, 2 metres or more space must be left between riders/horses.
Clients will be asked not to arrive at the stables more than 10 minutes before their lesson time and depart immediately following their lesson.
All lessons will be strictly risk assessed and kept within a riders capabilities, we will not be offering jump lessons or lunge lessons at this time.
All clients must observe strict social distancing measures and stay at least 2 metres (6ft) apart to protect yourselves, the coach, staff and volunteers.
We reserve the right to check a clients temperature on arrival.
By booking a lesson you have acknowledged that you have read and accepted these conditions.

7 step guide to visiting Lakefield Equestrian Centre

IN ORDER FOR US TO OPERATE SAFELY AND WELCOME AS MANY PEOPLE BACK AS POSSIBLE, WE ASK YOU TO ADHERE TO ALL MEASURES PUT IN PLACE.
1. We ask you not to arrive more than 10 minutes before your lesson and wait in your car until 5 minutes before your lesson is due to start.
2. Make your way directly to our sanitiser station, situated on the edge of the carpark. Please use hand sanitiser before continuing. A list of which horse you are riding and stable plan will be in the sanitiser station.
3. Collect your horse directly from it’s stable and take down to the indoor school where you will be met by your coach. Please adhere to 2m social distancing.
4. Your lesson will be conducted on a 1 to 1 basis (for private lessons), however there may be liveries exercising their horses. There will be no more than two horses in the school at any one time. When riding please make sure that when passing another rider you leave at least 2m distance to adhere to social distancing rules.
For group lessons there will a maximum of 5 rider/horse combinations with 1 coach, thus adhering to updated guideline from the government for people numbers.
5. Riders under the age of 14 can have one spectator present at the time of lesson. Spectators will only be able to watch from the door of the school. The viewing gallery will remain closed.
6. Once your lesson is completed return your horse to the stable that you collected them from. Leave them tacked up. A member of staff will untack and wipe down the tack with antibacterial wipes once you have left the yard area.
7. Please return to your vehicle whilst adhering to social distancing rules.

IN ORDER FOR US TO OPERATE SAFELY AND WELCOME AS MANY PEOPLE BACK AS POSSIBLE, WE ASK YOU TO ADHERE TO ALL MEASURES PUT IN PLACE.
1. We ask that you settle your balance prior to arrival through our online booking system on our website for which you should have your own login. We are running a contactless check in procedure.
2. Before arrival you will be sent by email relevant information for your stay complete with a map and your pitch number.
3. Once you arrive please call 07966294799 to notify us of your arrival and a member of the team will meet you outside of the reception to ensure your arrival is a smooth as possible please have your booking reference handy. Please be aware pitches are not available on the day of arrival until 12 noon and should be vacated on the day of departure by 11.00a.m
4. Pitches have been enlarged and capacity reduced but please ensure you pitch within the white post boundaries as requested on the information you were sent. Day visitors will not be allowed on the site during this current time.
5. The toilet/shower block will be open, however during these circumstances those with onboard facilities are encouraged to use them where possible. We have implemented an enhanced cleaning programme and due to this we will be closing the toilet block for 2hrs between 12 and 2 for deep cleaning. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but it is necessary to safeguard everyone.
6. There will be sanitiser and wipes provided at the toilet block we ask that you use the sanitiser before going into the toilet block and for those over the age of 5 years to wear a mask within the toilet/shower block. Please use the wipes to wipe down the area within the toilet block that you have used before leaving the facilities we would also request at this time that there are no Children under the age of 12 use the facilities on their own.
7. The site reception and shop will remain closed however any queries can be directed at Becky on 07966294799 and if your require bread, milk, eggs, cream, butter, bacon this can be preordered on this number 24hrs before it is required and it will be delivered with correct social distancing to your pitch. Payment can be made over the phone by card.
8. Should anyone wish to book riding during their stay this can be done either on line at lakefieldcornwall.com or by phone on 07966294799. The riding school is open with social distancing measures in place.
9. Dogs on site, we ask that you, especially in this current situation abide by our rules. We welcome dogs on our site and provide a 4 acre field for their exercise either on or off the lead but we strictly ask you to keep your dogs on lead on the site.
10. Day of departure. Please ensure you have vacated your pitch by 11.00a.m and pay special attention to make sure you have all of your belongings and have removed any rubbish that maybe on your pitch.
