Pony Club
Lakefield Equestrian Centre is a Pony Club Centre affiliated to the National Pony Club. Becoming a centre member allows children who do not own their own ponies to become part of the National Pony Club and take part in inter-branch competitions, earn badges and lots more.
The Pony Club offers its members an achievement badge scheme which covers a wide range of pony and countryside knowledge. Members sew their badges onto their club fleeces or sweatshirts. Progressive awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which include a riding section are taken whilst members are preparing for Pony Club Efficiency Tests which are recognised worldwide.
Saturday Club
We run a Saturday Club on Saturdays throughout the year for both pony club members and non members. As part of the club children learn about stable management and work towards their special interest badges. During the school holidays they take their tests and, if successful, are awarded their badges. Pony Club members are also invited to attend our Pony Club Camp during the summer holidays.
Day Camp
Our Pony Club ‘Day’ Camp typically lasts from 8.30am – 5pm, for 3 days, and covers all aspects of stable-management and learning in a fun way.
