But what is Pony Club we hear you ask. Well pony club is an exciting and rewarding way to learn horsemanship for young people. It is an international youth organisation that teaches young people sportsmanship. What’s more, Pony Club is designed to encourage young riders to develop their horsemanship skills, improve their riding ability, and develop their knowledge and understanding of horses.
Lakefield Equestrian Centre is an accredited Pony Club centre and we offer a variety of Pony Club programs, from beginner to advanced levels, to meet the needs of all our riders.
Interested and want to know a little more about Pony Club and its benefits?
Well, firstly, Pony Club is a great way for young riders to get involved in the horse world and learn the basics of riding and horsemanship. At Lakefield Equestrian Centre, we offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of all riders. Our beginner level classes include basic riding instruction, groundwork and safety lessons. Advanced classes cover a variety of topics, such as dressage, show jumping, cross country and eventing; everything that is needed for your little equestrian in the making.
Moreover, Pony Club also offers a variety of activities and competitions for riders to participate in. From gymkhanas to show jumping and cross-country competitions, there are plenty of opportunities for your little one to hone their skills and show off their talents, creating memories which will last a lifetime.
However, Pony Club is not just for developing equestrian skills, it is a great way to make new friends and have a lot of fun. Our Pony Club programs also offer plenty of group based educational opportunities, from lectures on horse care and nutrition to workshops on saddle fitting and grooming. We also hold regular meetings and social events for members to get to know each other and share their knowledge and experiences.
